All I can say is "been there, done that and got the T-shirts" or should I say "got the hats!"  as I am a collector of baseball hats with close to 100!  So with that said you probably know who I am.  Or maybe this will help "Girl's Don't Do That!"  haha

But sometimes when people say "Girl's Don't Do That" they are more determined than ever to prove them wrong that "Girl's Do!"  Most of you know me and my husband Rick and know that I have been working in the music business for about 20 years.  I have been to Europe and Australia so I have met many people and DJs during my travels.  I have worked in many aspects of the music business and saw, heard many things from my fellow artists about what they like and do not like about certain businesses and have been in same situations.  Those who have met me know that "what you see is what you get."  I tell it like it is and am always ready to help my fellow artist whether it be through contacts or gigs and have NEVER asked for anything in return.  I am a strong believer that we can do this together in the hopes everyone in this independent artist world can work together.  I was once told by another person in this business "that will never happen".  Well there you go again, telling me "never" or "it can't be done."  Rick and I are determined to prove them wrong, with your help.

Our compilation will only consist of QUALITY music by QUALITY artists.  We will not deal in QUANTITY.  We do not want DJs to say "its a good compilation but only a few good quality songs on it".  The compilation price will not "break" the artists nor will it flood the DJs desks. So who better to do business with then "one of your own" who knows the ins, outs of this business.  Rick and I are not here to "make a living."  We have day jobs, just like most of you do.  The price will only be to cover cost of mailing, ink, envelopes, labels, etc. and we will keep the artists informed of any spins. 

In closing, all I can say is "those who have met me, know me."  I do not like being treated unfairly or taken for granted, etc. and do not like it happening to my fellow indie friends.  We are here, we have learned from our experiences and from one of the very best in the business.  We are here to keep the integrity and honesty in this business.  Hope you feel the same as we do and become part of our family of independent artists.  Maybe you will even get a "Nashville Hug" or you may have already got one! haha
